There are so many ways to get entertained in Miami. The sunshine city offers a high-quality lifestyle: year-long sunny days allowing to sip a cocktail or have dinner a the terrace of a restaurant, sunbathing at the beach or walking along the shore, shopping at the various shopping destinations ( see Shopping page of this blog ), attending a basketball game at the American Airlines Arena, a baseball game at the new Marlins Stadium Park, a ballet show or musical at The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, a classical music concert at the Frank Ghery designed New World Center or enjoying an art exhibit at the new Perez Art Museum Miami or hoping from one gallery to another…the possibilities are much greater than one may initially think as Miami keeps on searching and reinventing itself. Movie, dance, music festivals and sports events such as the Miami Heat games or the Key Biscayne Sony Ericsson Tennis tournament also provide residents and visitors with amazing entertainment options.
When taking the time to drive around the multi-faceted city, one can notice how Miami is constantly evolving, adding a public park here, tearing down an old building there, pulling a new residential or office building from the ground over here, opening a new store, a restaurant, a community or cultural center over there.
When I have not walked around nor driven by neighborhoods like Downtown Miami, Doral, The Design District, Wynwood, Brickell, Miami Beach/South Beach or even Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, Bal Harbour and Aventura for more than a couple of months, I always get blown away by the small and larger changes that took place in the urban landscape of these neighborhoods in such a short period of time. Therefore, yes, I walk and drive around a lot, as it keeps me updated on what’s going on in Miami, nurtures my interest for this multicultural metropolis and helps me sell and purchase real estate for my clients more effectively.
Over the past decade, Miami has turned into a multi-cultural, younger and dynamic region, attracting key trade shows such as Art Basel Miami Beach for the contemporary art lovers and Emerge Americas for the high-tech and start-up markets as well as a wider variety of entertainment and economic opportunities, enhancing a stronger sense of pride and community.
